America is a land of plenty … a huge country where there are always plenty of things to see and do – lots of great “events.” That’s especially true in summer when people come out of their homes to enjoy the wonderful outdoors and celebrate the terrific weather with festivals … parades … and so much more.
As a RV owner or renter – and a committed RV traveler – you may already know of lots of “events” you want to attend on your next summertime RV Vacation. Perhaps you’ve already “booked” some of these events and have purchased tickets to them. Or … perhaps you haven’t done that at all.
If, in fact, you’re planning a RV Vacation this summer and want to “spice it up” by attending some fun-to-see-or-participate-in events and “happenings,” here’s what you need to do … starting right now.
When you finish reading this brief article, turn your online attention in a different direction – conduct a simple Google search. Try to determine the following …
Since you know what areas of the country you’ll be visiting – cities and towns – Google information on those places to determine if any public events will be taking place during the time of your visit. It may be that one of your destinations is having a food festival or a flower festival or high speed boat races on the local lake … or anything else that seems like fun. Access the website for the event and see if you can purchase tickets for it … well in advance of your actual trip.
If that’s not possible, find out if you can book a reservation to the event and pay for the tickets “at the gate.” That is often something that can be done. And once you’ve reserved a place at the event, you’re guaranteed entry to it. Just make sure you bring with you enough money to pay for the tickets when you arrive.
Many small towns in America are home to minor league baseball teams. You and your children can have a wonderful time spending a day at the ballpark. Unlike major league ballparks, tickets are affordable and the baseball is always fun … a worthwhile way to enjoy a day away from your RV.
Traveling south or west? You can buy tickets in advance to Disney Theme Parks and, from the moment your trip begins, have your kids flush with anticipation, excitement … and happiness.
Some cities, of course, are wonderful tourist destinations and have many attractions that make visiting there fun. Consider destinations such as San Francisco, San Diego or New York City. Each has many outstanding tourist attractions that are compelling, interesting … and just plain fun.
But, if you’re planning on visiting any of these places, it’s a good idea to buy tickets for certain events in advance. So, as mentioned earlier in this article, go online now … start your search … find the event that interests you – a visit to the Statue of Liberty, for example … and buy your tickets – now.
I’ve mentioned some of the more popular events and destinations. In truth, America is awash with great things to do almost anywhere you go – in summer and in winter, as well.
You can learn about any event and make plans to attend it by doing the simple research now. Your computer offers a wealth of information on anything you might want to do when you’re on the road and visiting different parts of America.
And not every event is famous or well-known. Remember, America is a big, big country. Lots of events are fun to see, but you’ve never heard about them.
Find out what is available in the cities and towns you will be visiting. Then … be adventurous. Make plans to attend an event you know nothing about. Take a chance … odds are good that you’ll have a great time … and something interesting to talk about when you return home.
Attending events you’ve never even heard of before is part of what makes it so much fun to travel America’s highways and byways in a RV.
So, this year make your vacation really special. Book an event that’s new to you … attend with an open mind … enjoy the experience.
